January 28, 2020

The Rotary Club of Belluno and Rotary Club of Greater Bend have formally announced the matching or twinning of their organizations.  President Mark Capell of Rotary Club of Greater Bend and President Felice Gaiardo of the Belluno Rotary Club have formally signed this important document that matches or twines the two clubs.

The twinning of the Rotary clubs is another concrete step in our international relationship between Bend and Belluno, our Italian sister city.  We have witnessed several one-on-one friendships develop between our citizens based upon common interests such as swimming, running, and music. The strong example of common work between the clubs is the very successful summer cross-cultural exchange program that is part of RI student short term exchange program.  Already more than 75 students have directly benefited from this unique international program between our communities.

The two communities have been official sister cities for 8 years.  The common goal of both Rotary International and Sister City creating international goodwill by bringing peoples together through friendships.
