The culinary sister city exchange is a fantastic opportunity for the students and instructors . . . sharing the kitchen experience and learning that passion for what we do needs no translation.
Through the exchange, I was able to see the similarities as well as the unique aspects of an Italian kitchen. As an American Chef, I am used to taking liberties with the dishes I prepare. In Italy, I learned the value of sticking to the ‘script’ and keeping the dishes as traditional as possible.

"The 'sister city' connection is great, but it's particularly meaningful when one finds a group of people in our sister city that share your passion. In my case, it's masters swimming, an international swimming program for adults founded on fitness but embracing competition for older folks like myself. As coaches of Central Oregon Masters Aquatics, Barb and I were delighted to participate in practice and post-swim social with our Belluno sister team Ondablu on our visit in 2015. We had a wonderful time! Our next project is to reconnect at the 2017 FINA World Masters Swimming Championships in Budapest, Hungary, sharing the meet itself, lodging, and social time with our Ondablu friends from Belluno. Ciao til then!" Coach Bob Bruce
